JU students and doctoral candidates are welcome to take part in the evaluation of courses run in the summer semester 2018/2019 . The survey data and especially the opinions on merits and weaknesses of their courses gives the academics a valuable feedback on their work and enables the heads of university units to reward the best teachers. The deadline for survey submission is 20 September 2019.
The student evaluation of courses provides the academic teachers with information that they can use to improve their teaching practice and plays an important role in the academic staff assessment. The periodic surveys are aimed at monitoring the quality of courses run at the university and analyse the merits and weaknesses of the study programmes offered by its faculties and other units. The results pertaining to particular courses are available to the staff members who run them as well as the authorities of their university units. The best rated staff receive awards for high performance in teaching. The lists of the award recipients from previous academic years is available at: https://jakosc.uj.edu.pl/en_GB/wyroznienia-dyd.
The survey is carried out by means of an individual account that every student is allocated to within the University Study-Oriented System (USOS web system). Each student can find there a list of questionnaires which offer questions common to all the university units as well as questions specific to particular study programmes or courses. The surveys are conducted on a voluntary basis with full respect for confidentiality.
The courses offered by the JU Faculty of Philosophy can be evaluated at ankiety.iphils.uj.edu.pl.
