The 5th Central European Biomedical Congress aims to promote the latest discoveries and achievements in the field of pharmaceutical, medical, health, biological and chemical sciences. The event, organised since 2014 also provides a platform for the exchange of experiences, ideas, and innovative solutions.

The motto of this year’s conference is ‘Future Trends in Health Intervention’. During thirteen sessions, the participants will discuss the latest research in the area of life sciences and medicine, with special focus on innovative methods of diagnostics and treatment of central nervous system diseases. The planned lectures and symposia concern studies into physiology and pathology of the brain, new immunodiagnostics and immunotherapy methods, as well as applications of bioinformatics and nanotechnology in modelling and treatment of diseases.

Other issues under discussion will include new antidepressant drugs and the blood-brain barrier in brain diseases. The invited experts will present the latest achievements in the area of neurodegenerative and psychiatric disorders as well as the Duchenne muscular dystrophy and its complications. The congress also provides an opportunity for young scientists from the field of biomedicine to present the results of their research.
