
The Clinic of Paediatric Urology of the University Children’s Hospital in Kraków will host workshops entitled ‘Trans ERN training workshop on foetal and postnatal multidisciplinary management and multicentric research in rare diseases with high risk for bladder dysfunction and renal impairment’, the aim of which is to discuss the medical care standards concerning infants with genitourinary system disorders that can lead to renal failure.
The meeting will be attended by specialists from all over Europe and several Polish health care facilities, who will discuss the current guidelines. Joint research projects will be initiated within the framework of a number of research groups. The workshops will be organised under the auspices of the European Joint Programme on Rare Diseases (EJPRD).
The Clinic of Paediatric Urology has been a member of the European Reference Network (ERN eUrogen) since 2021.
ERN is a project of the European Commission aimed at increasing the quality of care of patient suffering from rare conditions. The various branches of the network admit only select facilities that boast the highest standards and receive the proper accreditation. Currently, there are only two such institutions in Poland, including the University Children’s Hospital in Kraków.
