In 2023, the University Male Voice Choir, the oldest male academic choir in Poland and one of the oldest in Europe, celebrates the 145th anniversary of its activity. Additionally, two years have passed since the 15th anniversary of the establishment of the University Female Voice Choir as well as Camerata Jagellonica University Choir. To celebrate this occasion, a special concert under the honorary patronage of JU Rector will be held in Karol Szymanowski Philharmonic in Kraków.

The concert will feature pieces from various epochs and musical styles performed by the male and the female choir. Additionally, both choirs along with their former members will jointly perform several compositions, including Lullaby by Jan Maklakiewicz and Goral Songs by Jan Pasierb-Orland. The concert will culminate with a performance of Carl Orff’s Carmina Burana by Camerata Jagellonica together with soloists, pianists and percussionists.
