Virtual walk around "Polish London"

The Jagiellonian University Polish Research Centre in London was established in response to the challenges of a changing reality, in particular the development of a more intense and multilayered Polish-British relationship resulting from growing Polish emigration to the UK and increasingly frequent visits by British people to Poland.

The centre's most important goal is to popularise Polish studies in the UK. Being an educational institution, the centre supports the work and achievements of both Polish academics and researchers living in the UK, and of British scholars who conduct research concerning Poland.

With its latest Polish London project, the centre presents the rich history of Polish diaspora in London. Short films featuring Katarzyna Madera, BBC presenter of Polish origin, highlight the places of special meaning to Polish people and Polish history in London: Gen. Anders' House, Westminster Cathedral, the Polish Institute and Sikorski Museum, and Gunnersbury Cemetery, etc.

The project is co-financed from the funds granted by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in the competition for the public task "Cooperation with Polish Diaspora and Poles Abroad
