We are pleased to inform you that Prof. Władysław Miodunka has been named the winner of Polonicus prize, which is granted annually by the Congress of the Polish Community in Germany.

Marshal of the Senate of the Republic of Poland, Bogdan Borusewicz, is the Patron of the Prize, whereas the list of Polonicus laureates includes Prof. Władysław Bartoszewski, Prof. Jerzy Buzek, Prof. Norman Davies, Prof. Karl Dedecius, and Krystyna Janda.

This year's prize recognises Prof. Miodunka's long-lasting contribution to the popularisation of the Polish language. The prize-giving ceremony will be held at the Polish Community Gala in Aachen Town Hall.
