The award for the best graduate of MA and PhD studies in 2010/2011 in musicology was conferred on Dr Katarzyna Korpanty for her PhD thesis: "Praecepta der musicalischen Composition" of Johann Gottfried Walther from the perspective of the German school of music composition in baroque period.

The award was founded in 2004 by Prof. Ray Robinson from Palm Beach Atlantic University and his wife. Its basic aim is to promote extraordinary dissertations in musicology. The laureates receive 1000 USD from the Fund for Musicology Development.
