Dr Anna Waszkielewicz wins Women for Science Foundation competition
Dr Anna Waszkielewicz, the winner of the competition, will have the opportunity to promote her innovation, medication against neuropathic pain and epilepsy, in September in Nuremberg during the 65th International Fair: iENA 2013 Ideas, Inventions, New Products.
Dr Anna Waszkielewicz works on a new group of chemical substances which help to control epilepsy and pain. The majority of preclinical research has been conducted in renowned centres, including American National Institute of Health. Another stage of the project will include further research related to medication safety and dosage form. The innovation has been patented.
The recognition was also granted to Dr Monika Brzychczy-Włoch JU MC who works on a diagnostic test confirming Group B streptococcus infections in pregnant women.
