Veterinary Medicine to be established in Kraków

"Science has no boundaries and universities should not create them artificially. By signing an agreement about the collaboration we make a progress towards the enhancement of food safety not only in Małopolska but also in the region of southern Poland" – said Prof. Karol Musioł.

The rectors of the Jagiellonian University and the Agricultural University in Kraków, prof. Karol Musioł and Janusz Żmija, respectively, as well prof. Tadeusz Wijaszka, the manager of the National Institute of Veterinary Medicine in the National Research Institute in Puławy have signed an agreement about the collaboration between these three bodies within the existing University Centre of the Veterinary Medicine in Kraków. This research unit will conduct research in the field of veterinary medicine especially in the area of food safety and human and animal health.  The Centre will run courses both in Polish and English and plans to create new faculties and specializations including veterinary medicine.
