Study Programme in London
On April 27, 2011 the rector of the Jagiellonian University, Prof. Karol Musioł, and the rector of the Polish University Abroad, Prof. Wojciech Falkowski, signed a cooperation agreement on initiating a postgraduate studies programme in the field of the Polish-British Strategic Partnership within NATO and the EU.
The study programme has been launched in response to the increasing role of Polish-British economic, cultural, political and military relations. It is addressed to candidates who hold at least a bachelor's degree, are proficient in both Polish and English and are interested in the Polish-British bilateral relations.
Graduates will possess up-to-date and profound knowledge of the Republic of Poland and the United Kingdom as well as of the strategic goals of the Polish and British diplomacy in a broad historical, cultural and economic context. Graduates will be qualified for jobs in all kinds of Polish-British ventures: diplomatic, cultural, trade and tourist. They will be experts in the issues pertaining to the Polish-British relationships, such as diplomacy, institutions, politics and national security. They will be well-prepared to enter careers in Polish, British and European institutions specializing in the Polish-British relations, including governmental institutions, think tanks, social and cultural institutions, the media and NGOs. While studying, the students will have a chance to develop valuable contacts, useful for their future careers.
Lectures and classes will be given by outstanding scholars from the Jagiellonian University and the Polish University Abroad. Politicians, diplomats and experts in various fields will also be invited to give talks.
