JU students among the winners of Scapula Aurea anatomy contest

The JU students are among the winners of the All-Poland Anatomy Contest for Polish-speaking students, Scapula Aurea Warsaw 2011 and its counterpart for English-speaking students, Golden Scapula.


The team of first year-students of the Faculty of Medicine of the JU Medical College, consisting of Michał Błaż, Piotr Kuszmiersz, Katarzyna Paczkowska and Rafał Świstek, took 2nd place in the team competition for Polish-speaking students, and the team of first year students of the JU MC School of Medicine in English, consisting of Sindre Saetre, Ole Jakob Sletten, Jens Vikse and Thomas Abel Woldeyesus, won 2nd place in the team competition for English-speaking students.


The greatest success in the individual competition was achieved by the JU MC student Michał Błaż, who took the 1st place, whereas Jens Vikse from the JU MC School of Medicine in English won the 3rd place in the English-speakers' category.


While preparing to the competition, the students were coached by the members of the JU MC academic staff.
