New laboratories in the Institute of Physics

June 2, 2011 saw the gala opening of two laboratories in the JU Institute of Physics. They are equipped with the state-of-the-art research apparatus: the multifunctional modern materials physical property measurement system (PPMS) in the Laboratory of Advanced Magnetic Materials and Superconductivity and the photoelectron spectrometer XPS, UPS in the Laboratory of Electron Spectroscopy.

The apparatus was purchased thanks to the Atomic Scale Science for Innovative Economy (ATOMIN) project.

The apparatus in the newly opened laboratories consists of highly advanced research equipment, which enables research on new materials, among others. New vast possibilities have now opened up to the staff and the students of the Faculty of Physics, Astronomy and Applied Computer Science, who can now conduct research and achieve results at the highest world level.
