The Foundation for Polish Science has announced the results of the 13th MASTER project competition and granted 9 subsidies for the distinguished scholars who successfully combine research with educating young academics. There are three members of the JU staff among the winners: Prof. Andrzej Nowak, Prof. Tomasz Placek and Prof. Eugenia Prokop-Janiec.

36 candidates participated in this year's competition, aimed at the scholars from the field of humanities and social sciences. The winners receive three-year subsidies worth 300 thousand zlotys (100 thousand zlotys a year), either for intensification of the existing research projects, or for launching new ones.
