Two JU Professors become members of State Committee for Scientific Research

The Minister of Science and Higher Education, Prof. Lena Kolarska-Bobińska has appointed new members of the State Committee for Scientific Research, a governmental body which consists of twelve representatives of different academic disciplines, different socio-economic sectors and various types of research institutions.

The newly appointed Committee includes two Jagiellonian University academics: Prof. Jarosław Górniak, the Dean of the Faculty of Philosophy and Prof. Tomasz Guzik of the JU MC Faculty of Medicine.

The State Committee for Scientific Research is an advisory body of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education. Its main task is to assist the Ministry in such issues as: producing documents on research development, research and innovation policy, state budget project, financial plan specifying research funds, plans regarding the activity of the National Science Centre and the National Centre for Research and Development.
