On 9 April, as part of the preparation of a twin town cooperative agreement, Kraków and the Jagiellonian University have been visited by the municipal authorities of the city of Porto, Portugal. The delegation was led by Mr Rui Moreira, Mayor of Porto. He was accompanied by Mr Pedro Silva Reis, Honorary Consul of the Republic of Poland to Porto and Prof. Bronisław Misztal, Ambassador of the Republic of Poland to Portugal.

The delegation was received in the morning by Prof. dr hab. med. Wojciech Nowak, JU Recto. During the meeting, the participants discussed issues concerning cooperation, particularly the co-organisation a conference in Portugal. In the afternoon, Mayor Moreira has delivered a lecture entitled The Future of Europe: nations, cities and citizens in the JU Auditorium Maximum.
