Jagiellonian University ranked the best Polish university

The Jagiellonian University has been ranked the best Polish university in Webometrics, a web ranking based on a web presence and visibility. By achieving 293rd place in the latest edition of this ranking, the university has considerably improved its last year's result (376th place). Second place was taken by the AGH University of Science and Technology.

The list of 500 best universities in the world also mentions three other Polish universities – Warsaw University (347), Technical University of Warsaw (354) and Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań (381), which is a great achievement of Polish education and research in general. The Jagiellonian University broke into the top 100 European universities. It is worthy of note that the authors of the ranking assessed over 20 thousand educational institutions and decided to feature only 4 thousand best institutions. Harvard University, MIT and Stanford University were named top three universities in the world.
