Stanisław Kutrzeba Competition – 10th edition

 

 

To commemorate professors of the Jagiellonian University who were the victims of  Sonderaktion Krakau of 6 November 1939 and to promote the idea of reconciliation between Poland and Germany


the Rector of the Jagielllonian University

announces the 10th edition of the Stanisław Kutrzeba competition.
The central theme of the competition is the protection of human rights in Europe.



 

The funds for the award are recived from Ruprecht-Karol University in Heidelberg and Max Planck Institute for Comparative Public Law and International Law.


The award, which includes a research stay in Heidelberg, is awarded annually to an employee or graduate of the Jagiellonian University. A good command of German and English is a prerequisite for applying for the award.      

The jury will consider candidates' achievements and publications especially those discussing the issue of human rights. The winners will be announced in October, whereas the award ceremony is planned to take place on 6 November.


Applications are to be submitted individually until 15 September 2012 to the Department of International Public Law of the Jagiellonian University, ul. Gołębia 9, 31-007 Kraków.


A proper application should include:

  • CV in Polish, German or English
  • List of publications with particular emphasis on publications on human rights  
  • Two copies of a publication which is to be considered by the jury
