Jagiellonian University has its own Girl of the Future!

Ten Girls of the Future is a competition organised by the Polish Ministry of Science and Higher Education and Elle magazine. It is addressed to outstanding female students studying science, engineering, natural sciences or medicine. The prospective candidates should also conduct their own research or should work in Polish and international research teams.

The jury of the competition has taken into consideration the originality of research, innovativeness of the methods employed and the research project's potential as far as its implementation is concerned.

Second award, a scholarship worth 15 thousand zlotys and the participation in an international science conference, went to Maria Żurek, a student of physics at the Jagiellonian University. She was awarded for the research in the mechanisms of charge symmetry breaking.
