The Rector of the Jagiellonian University, Prof. Wojciech Nowak received the delegation from the Institute of Diplomatic Studies at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Saudi Arabia, including the Institute's Director General, Prof. Abdulkarim Al Dekhayel. The meeting, which took place in Collegium Novum, also featured the JU Vice-Rector for the Medical College, Prof. Piotr Laidler and the Head of the JU Institute of Oriental Studies, Prof. Barbara Michalak-Pikulska. The talks were focused on the prospects of cooperation between the Jagiellonian University and Saudi higher education institutions. The visitors were especially interested the medical study programmes offered by the JU and the issues regarding the quality of education.

After the visit in Collegium Novum, the delegation took a tour of the Jagiellonian University Museum in Collegium Maius.
