Over 4 million PLN for young JU scholars

The Ministry of Science and Higher Education has awarded 15 young JU scholars with a sum of 4,126,275 PLN within the framework of the Iuventus Plus scholarship programme.

The following researchers have been awarded with the scholarship:

  • Mgr Paweł Nowak – Faculty of Chemistry
  • Dr Michał Woźniakiewicz – Faculty of Chemistry
  • Lek. med. Krzysztof Tomaszewski – Faculty of Medicine
  • Dr Janusz Dąbrowski – Faculty of Chemistry
  • Dr Kamil Awsiuk – Faculty of Physics, Astronomy and Applied Computer Science
  • Dr Szymon Pustelny – Faculty of Physics, Astronomy and Applied Computer Science
  • Dr Katarzyna Młyniec – Faculty of Pharmacy
  • Mgr Katarzyna Hnida – Faculty of Chemistry
  • Dr Dawid Pinkowicz – Faculty of Chemistry
  • Dr Rafał Piprek – Faculty of Biology and Earth Sciences
  • Dr Jakub Mielczarek – Faculty of Physics, Astronomy and Applied Computer Science
  • Dr Małgorzata Grzesiak – Faculty of Biology and Earth Sciences
  • Dr Jan Skupień – Faculty of Medicine
  • Dr Anna Grochot-Przęczek – Faculty of Biochemistry, Biophysics and Biotechnology

To apply, scholars were required to be 35 years old or less, adhere to the highest standards of research and be authors of papers published in international magazines included in the JCR (Journal Citation Reports) and ERIH (European Reference Index for Humanities). The funding will begin in 2015.
