JU researcher awarded for his accomplishments

Dr Eryk Czerwiński from the JU Department of Nuclear Physics is the winner of this year's edition of the Professor Stefan Pieńkowski Award. Since 2004, it has been presented to scholars who have distinguished in the field of experimental physics, astronomy, chemistry and biology.

The award has been established by the Marek M. Pieńkowski Foundation to commemorate Prof. Stefan Pieńkowski, who has contributed immensely to the Warsaw physics community, and to promote activities that foster research in our country.

Upon receiving the award, the winner is obligated to deliver a lecture on their research. Dr Eryk Czerwiński will deliver his lecture during the University of Warsaw Institute of Experimental Physics Symposium, which will take place on 12–13 December.
