The JU authorities are preparing a box full of gifts for one of the families participating in the Szlachetna Paczka (Noble Box) project. On Wednesday, 3 December 2014, Prof. Wojciech Nowak, JU Rector, along with the Vice-Rectors – Prof. Piotr Laidler, Prof. Jacek Popiel and Prof. Maria-Jolanta Flis – has bought some of the gifts in Główna Księgarnia Naukowa. They were accompanied by famous Kraków artists – Anna Szałapak and Andrzej Sikorowski.

The shopping list included books and school supplies. The gift box will also contain warm clothes, detergents, toys and food – in other words, things that put a strain on the home budget.

The Szlachetna Paczka project is being organised for the 14th time by Stowarzyszenie Wiosna. The volunteers working on the project have visited local families and decided which of them are eligible to take part in the campaign. This year, 17,500 families have been selected.
