János Áder, President of Hungary, has awarded one of the most important state medals to Prof. Stanisław Sroka, Vice-Dean of the JU Faculty of History, for his outstanding contributions to research on Hungarian history in the Middle Ages and merits in developing and strengthening the Polish-Hungarian relations.

The award ceremony will take place on 21 January 2015 in the Consulate General of Hungary in Kraków.
