Starting March 2015, the JU Institute of Information and Library Science, in collaboration with the Jagiellonian Library and the National Archive in Kraków, will offer a new two-semester post-diploma study programme: Old books, special collections and archives.

The programme is aimed to improve one's qualifications and is directed towards those interested professional, research and scientific issues related to old books, special collections and archives, particularly employees of institutions such as libraries, museums and antique shops. It will provide knowledge of the history of books, cultural heritage, methodology, archival science, special collection organisation, conservation and collection digitalisation. The courses are mostly focused on practical aspects, with classes organised chiefly in the Jagiellonian Library. The language of the programme is Polish.
