Unesco Chair in Translation and Intercultural Communication has signed a letter of intent outlining a cooperation agreement with Motorola. The terms of the agreement are currently being discussed.

On Friday, 19 October, JU students specializing in technical writing visited the seat of Motorola in Kraków, where they participated in Motorola Open Days and attended a special panel for technical writers.

Students met with the members of the staff employed in the department of Global Customer Documentation. Having been introduced to the specifics of the work in GCD, they talked to technical writers, discussed their career path and daily duties. The practical part of the panel included writing a description of an unknown device, or preparing a case study on the basis of the analysis of a given department's problems and suggesting alternative solutions. As it was a competition, the best ideas will be rewarded.
