Smoleńsk plane crash. JU employees among the dead.

The plane carrying President of Poland Lech Kaczyński, his wife and 94 other passengers, most of them prominent politicians and public figures, crashed at an airport near Smoleńsk in Russia on Saturday, April 10, 2010. The Polish delegation was travelling to Russia for the 70th anniversary of the Russian masscare of Polish officers in the village of Katyń. There were no survivors of the crash. Among the passengers there were two Jagiellonian University  employees: Ms Ewa Bąkowska, Jagiellonian Library curator and head of the library department and dr Andrzej Kremer, assistant professor in the Department of Roman Law, Undersecretary of State in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

We all share in the grief with the families of the deceased.
