Ambassador of Panama visits JU

Ambassador of Panama visits JU

On 27 November 2015, the Jagiellonian University was visited by the Ambassador of Panama to Poland Enrique Zarak. He was received by the Rector of the Jagiellonian University Prof. Wojciech Nowak.

The main issue discussed at the meeting were the prospects of cooperation between the Jagiellonian University and the University of Panama. The Rector presented the ambassador with the jubilee album of the Jagiellonian University, whereas the ambassador gave him a medal commemorating the opening of the Panama Canal.

Enrique Zarak was born in 1951. He graduated from the University of Panama in Law and Political Sciences. His previous positions include Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the Republic of Korea (1990-1994) and Deputy of the Republic of Panama in the Central American Parliament (PARLACEN).
