On 7 June 2016 the Jagiellonian University hosted a visit by a delegation from Zhejiang University, Hangzhou, led by its Vice-President and President of China Academy of West Region Development Prof. Zhou Guping.
The guests were received in Collegium Novum by the Rector of the Jagiellonian University Prof. Wojciech Nowak and the Vice-Rector for Research and Structural Funds Prof. Stanisław Kistryn. During the meeting, the participants discussed the possibilities of mutual collaboration and expressed their commitment to signing a relevant memorandum of understanding in the near future.
The main goal of the visit by the Chinese delegation was to learn more about the Jagiellonian University and explore the possibilities of academic and scientific cooperation in the field of social sciences, with special focus on China's " One Belt, one Road" initiative.
