On 20 September 2016 the Jagiellonian University hosted a visit by a delegation from the University in Saint Louis (WUSTL) and affiliated institutions, which included Prof. Melvin Blanchard, Chief of the Division of Medical Education, Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis and Prof. Philip Korenblat, Director of the Clinical Research Center for Allergy, Asthma and other Respiratory Illnesses in St. Louis
The guests were received in Collegium Novum by the Rector of the Jagiellonian University Prof. Wojciech Nowak. The meeting was also attended by Prof. Beata Tobiasz-Adamczyk, Rector's Proxy for Education and International Cooperation at the JU Medical College and Prof. Jacek Musiał, Head of the 2nd Chair of Internal Medicine and the Department of Allegry and Immunology, JU Medical College. The main focus of the meeting was collaboration between the two academic institutions, especially in the field of medical sciences, and student exchange between the Jagiellonian University and US institutions of higher education, primarily in the context of the School of Medicine in English run by the JU Medical College.
