JU enters an agreement with Universiti Utara Malaysia

On 26 June, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed between the Jagiellonian University and Universiti Utara Malaysia. The document, signed at the JU Collegium Novum during a visit of the Malaysian delegation, outlines the framework of cooperation between the two universities.

The delegation from the Utara University Malaysia consisted of Prof. Mohamed Mustafa Ishak (Vice-Chancellor/President), Prof. Mohd Sobri Don (Director, Centre of University Industry Cooperation) and Prof. Mohamad Farizal Rajemi (Director, Centre for International Affairs & Cooperation). The Jagiellonian University was represented by JU Rector Prof. Wojciech Nowak, JU Rector’s Proxy for Internationalisation Prof. Adam Jelonek, Vice-Dean for Development of the Faculty of Management and Social Communication Prof. Maria Próchnicka, Dr Izabela Zawiska from the International Relations Office, and Dr Izabela Nawrot-Adamczyk from the Office of Rector’s Proxy for Internationalisation.

The participants of the meeting discussed the steps necessary to develop the cooperation between the two universities in the area of student and staff mobility as well as joint research and study programmes, including double degree programmes, particularly regarding business and management.
