Bronze medal for JU women’s futsal team in European Universities Games 2018

For the second time in a row, the JU women’s futsal team have won the bronze medal during the European Universities Games 2018, which took place on 15–29 July 2018 in Coimbra, Portugal. The gold medal was awarded to the team from Alicante, who defeated their rivals from Moscow Polytechnic University in the final match.



The games are organised biennially. They are open to all teams that have taken first, second and third place in the national championships of their respective countries in the previous year. Aside from the Jagiellonian University, Poland was represented by a team from the Angelus Silesius University of Applied Sciences in Wałbrzych, which took fourth place.

The JU team consists of following members: Karolina Klabis, Dominika Dewicka, Katarzyna Ładocha, Kinga Wilk, Klaudia Kubaszek, Ewelina Bolko, Małgorzata Bartosiewicz, Karolina Dul, Aleksandra Nieciąg, Anna Zapała, Justyna Maziarz i Natalia Sitarz. They are coached by Krzysztof Swół.
