100 years of the University of Ljubljana

On 3 December 2019, JU Vice-Rector for Research and Structural Funds Prof. Stanisław Kistryn visited the University of Ljubljana, where he participated in the celebrations marking the 100th anniversary of its foundation.

Founded on 23 July 1919, the University of Ljubljana is the largest and oldest university in Slovenia and is one of leading higher education institutions in Europe in terms of research and teaching. The Academic Ranking of World Universities classifies it amongst the world’s top 600 higher education institutions.

Since 2016, the University of Ljubljana is a member of The Guild of European Research-Intensive Universities, which has greatly expanded its collaboration with other European higher education institutions, including the Jagiellonian University.
