JU researchers published in Progress in polymer science

JU researchers published in Progress in polymer science

The journal Progress in polymer science has published a paper by two researchers from the Jagiellonian University Faculty of Chemistry: Dr Karol Wolski and Prof. Szczepan Zapotoczny. The publication was written in collaboration with Dr Michał Szuwarzyński from the AGH University of Science and Technology and Dr Tomasz Kruk from the Polish Academy of Sciences.

The paper Macromolecular strategies for transporting electrons and excitation energy in ordered polymer layers describes the advances in synthesis and spatial organisation of highly ordered polymer systems able to effectively transport electrons and excitation energy. The authors summed up the most important achievements in producing and implementing photoactive, conductive and redox polymer brushes and multi-layer polymer films as well as hybrid polymer inorganic films that contain quantum dots, nanotubes, nanofibres, nanoparticles and others.

The paper is available on the ScienceDirect website.
