University Hospital in Kraków Clinic of Urology once again recognised for its excellence

University Hospital in Kraków Clinic of Urology once again recognised for its excellence

Urology and Oncological Urology Clinical Department of the University Hospital in Kraków has once again become one of the only five health care centres in Poland to be accredited by the European Board of Urology (EBU), receiving the highest marks.

‘It gives me great pride and satisfaction, since it’s a testament to both the level of trust and reliability of doctors as well as deep understanding of the purpose which we serve here. We have a duty not only to educate and provide professional treatment, but also deeply care for our patients. A well-trained urologist with adept knowledge of modern techniques ensures both the safety of patients and the quality of treatment’, said Prof. Piotr Chłosta, Head of the Urology and Oncological Urology Clinical Department.

The Department is a full profile diagnostics, treatment and teaching centre offering a comprehensive list of treatments and procedures in the area of adult urology. Aside from routinely performing a wide array of surgical procedures, including various types of laparoscopy, its doctors specialise in the use of minimally-invasive techniques that replace open surgery. The Department also has a state-of-the-art endoscopic equipment and offers laser and lithotryptic treatment for kidney stones.
