In June, the Medical University of Warsaw hosted the national finals of the international contest Jules Allemand Trophy for dental students, which was won by Małgorzata Zając, now graduate of the Jagiellonian University Medical College. She will now represent Poland during the international finals, which will take place in September in D’Annunzio University of Chieti in Italy.


Jules Allemand Trophy, organised since 2004, is the only contest in cosmetic dentistry directed to students from all over the world. The main prize is a three month internship at the Oral Science, Restorative Dentistry Section at the D’Annunzio University of Chieti. The contest features nearly 100 higher education institutions from 25 countries. Up until now, it had more than 30,000 participants.

Małgorzata Zając prepared for the contest under the supervision of Dr Teresa Szupiany-Janeczek from the JU MC Chair in Integrated Dentistry.
