Saudi delegation visits JU

The discussion focused on educational evaluation systems, international evaluation policies, and effectiveness of higher education institutions evaluation.

On 27 April 2015 the Jagiellonian University was visited by members of the Public Education Evaluation Commission from Saudi Arabia. The delegation consisted of the Governor of Public Education Evaluation Commission Dr. Naif Hashal Alromi, Director of Schools Evaluation Samer Rabea Jan, as well as Commission members Naif Mohammad Alobid and Mohammad Rafaa Al Mutairi.



The delegation was received by the JU Vice-Rector for Research and Structural Funds Prof. Stanisław Kistryn and the Vice-Rector for Educational Affairs Prof. Andrzej Mania. The meeting was also attended by the Head of the Department of Management at the JU Institute of Public Affairs Dr hab. Grzegorz Mazurkiewicz and the former vice-minister at the Polish Ministry of National Education Maciej Jakubowski.

The discussion focused on educational evaluation systems, international evaluation policies, and effectiveness of higher education institutions evaluation.  



Public Education Evaluation Commission is a governmental body founded in 2013, directly subordinate to the Prime Minister of Saudi Arabia. Its aims include the improvement of quality and effectiveness of public education, as well as fostering economic development through the improvement of teaching outcomes in higher education institutions.
