A research team from the Jagiellonian University took 3rd place in this year's edition of the EUREKA! GDP contest. The project was related to an innovative way of detecting bacteria and fungi in blood with the use of the NESTED method.
Four JU scientists – Prof. Małgorzata Bulanda, Dr Tomasz Gosiewski, Dr Monika Brzychczy-Włoch and Dr Agata Pietrzyk – will compete with the other finalists on 20 June 2015.
EUREKA! DGP – Discovering Polish Inventions is a series of articles by the Dziennik Gazeta Prawna newspaper combined with a contest for the best invention submitted by a Polish higher education or research institution. The aim of the contest is to promote Polish science and creativity of young Polish researchers by presenting inventions which could be successfully used in economy and production.
