On Thursday, 28 May 2015, the second edition of the Komiks Kon, entitled Comics as an integral part of pop culture, was organised by the American Studies Academic Circle with the help of the staff of the Institute of American Studies and Polish Diaspora.
During the three panels (games and manga, film and television, society and history), the speakers presented a wide range of topics, from discussing the official releases of Marvel and DC to the fanbase activities. After the conference, the participants could compete in a quiz. In groups of three, they answered questions about comics, their film adaptations and issues related to them.
The American Studies Academic Circle plans to organise another edition of the conference next year.
