Last Saturday, the prestigious German Max Planck Society opened an exhibition entitled "Science Tunnel 3.0" in the Polish Aviation Museum. Kraków is the first city in Eastern-Central Europe in which the exhibition is being presented. The Jagiellonian University co-organised the event.

Jagiellonian University celebrates its 652nd academic year

"We're bursting in pride to live and work in free, independent and democratic Poland . . . The University was, is and will be apolitical, diverse, open and unfettered," said Prof. Wojciech Nowak, JU Rector, in his opening speech marking the beginning of the 652nd academic year at the Jagiellonian University. The ceremony, traditionally organised in Auditorium Maximum, was attended by the President of Poland, Andrzej Duda.

Under the guidance and watchful eye of doctors and experienced mountaineers, the patients of Dr hab. Tomasz Klupa, prof. UJ are reaching the summits of various mountains. Their actions prove that type 1 diabetes can be overcome: they have already climbed two in Gorce and the Alps. Next year, they plan to take on the 5,137-metre high Mount Ararat in Turkey.
