The Jagiellonian University has started to raise funds for Ukrainian citizens affected by the war. Voluntary donations can be paid to a dedicated bank account of the Jagiellonian University.
The fundraising campaign is specifically aimed at:
- helping Ukrainian citizens who have entered the territory of the Republic of Poland directly from Ukraine because of military actions and have been accommodated in student halls of residence of the JU
- funding the stay of people employed at the Jagiellonian University, especially as academic teachers, pursuant to the Act of 12 March 2022 on assistance to citizens of Ukraine in connection with the armed conflict on the territory of that country (Journal of Laws of 2022, item 583)

The voluntary donations can be made by natural persons, legal persons, or persons without legal personality.
The funds raised as part of the campaign “Pomoc dla Ukrainy – Zbiórka Uniwersytetu Jagiellońskiego” will be entirely spent to help and support Ukrainian citizens affected by the military conflict. If there are any unspent funds, they will be allocated to the JU student and PhD student support fund.
