Stefania Karolina Tatarówna Prize Competition

The Department of Security, Safety and Equal Treatment – Safe JU in cooperation with the MINDtheGEPs project is honoured to announce a competition for the best Master's and doctoral thesis including the gender perspective. This competition is part of the implementation of the Gender Equality Plan for the Jagiellonian University and an important step in promoting scientific research that considers aspects related to gender equality.

'<span lang='de'>Beethoven</span> and Philosophers' exhibition

To mark the 300th anniversary of the birth of the great philosopher from Konigsberg, this year’s musical manuscript exhibition in the Jagiellonian Library, accompanying the 28th Ludwig van Beethoven Easter Festival is entitled “Beethoven and Philosophers”. The presented items come from the collection of the former Prussian State Library and the Jagiellonian Library.

Interdisciplinary student conference SeMPowisko 2024

Manggha and Manga: The Many Faces of Japan

In 1994 Krakow witnessed the opening of the Manggha Museum of Japanese Art and Technology, created on the initiative of the Kyoto-Krakow Foundation of Andrzej Wajda and Krystyna Zachwatowicz-Wajda. The name of the Museum is a tribute to the collector of Japanese art, Feliks Jasieński (1861–1929), who, fascinated with Japanese woodblock prints, adopted this artistic pseudonym. The conference marks the 30th anniversary of Manggha foundation.
