Free COVID-19 medical check-ups for JU staff

Bearing in mind the importance of combating the spread of the SARS-CoV-2 virus, undertaking preventive measures and providing health care to people suffering from COVID-19, therefore ensuring the safest possible working environment for our employees, we invite all staff to take advantage of free medical check-ups provided by the Department of Diagnostics of the University Hospital in Kraków.


COVID+ check-up for women

  1. AntiCoV test – conducted using fully automatic immunochemical method, the test detects the presence of SARS-CoV-2 antibodies in two classes: IgM and IgG (test sensitivity: 100%, test specificity: 99.7%)
  2. TSH – thyroid stimulating hormone test which detects thyroid dysfunction
  3. CA-125 – ovarian cancer marker

COVID+ check-up for men

  1. AntiCoV test – conducted using fully automatic immunochemical method, the test detects the presence of SARS-CoV-2 antibodies in two classes: IgM and IgG (test sensitivity: 100%, test specificity: 99.7%)
  2. PSA total – prostate-specific antigen, prostate enlargement marker, useful in diagnostics, treatment and monitoring of prostate cancer
  3. fPSA – unbound PSA form for diagnostics, prostate cancer marker

The check-ups will be conducted from 28 May (Thursday) onwards, from 8.00 a.m. to 1.00 p.m. in two locations:

  • JU Auditorium Maximum, ul. Krupnicza 33, Kraków
  • JU Faculty of Chemistry, ul. Gronostajowa 2, Kraków (parking lot entrance)

The check-ups are available exclusively to Jagiellonian University staff upon registering with an e-mail address in the University e-mail domain (@uj.edu.pl) at one of the following links:

To participate in a check-up, please register by 2:00 p.m. on the previous day.

The registration system allows up to 8 persons every 30 minutes, which should prevent the testing facilities from becoming overcrowded.

Please make sure you wear face masks or cover your mouth and nose according to the standing regulations. You will be required to provide your national identification number (PESEL).

The test is conducted on venous blood, and does not require previous fasting.

The registration rounds will be renewed every 7 days, along with updated registration links that will be sent to you via e-mail. The check-ups will continue for as long as there is demand for them, and the planned date for their ending will also be announced to you via e-mail.
