Atomin – summary of the project

The project was run by the Faculty of Physics, Astronomy and Applied Computer Science and the Faculty of Chemistry from 2009 to 2012. It received 85% of funds from the European Union and 15% from the state budget, which gave a total of 90273034 PLN.

The project enabled the purchase of over 150 laboratory instruments and the construction of 24 laboratories, which will serve the following interfaculty Cluster of Laboratories:

  • Advanced Materials
  • Nanotechnology and surface science
  • Biomedical Applications of Physics and Chemistry Photonics, Spectroscopy and Laser Quantum
  • Technologies Centre of Advanced Calculating Technologies

One of the most important results of the project is the intensification of the cooperation with scientific institutions, research-application units, enterprises and public institutions in the realm of INFO, TECHNO and BIO.
