Jagiellonian Digital Library becomes the leader of digital libraries in Poland

On 22 December 2012 the Jagiellonian Digital Library (JDL), established by the Jagiellonian Library, became the largest digital library in Poland and the leader among libraries associated under the Digital Libraries Federation (DLF). The collection, made available by the Jagiellonian Digital Library, constitutes 15,65% of all publications available through DLF.

Within only two years JDL has given access to 183 169 publications, the number of which is still increasing thanks to the support from the European Union. The funds received from the European Regional Development Fund within the Operational Programme Infrastructure and Environment (2007-2013) helped to prepare and digitize the collection. JDL has been already visited by 3.1 million users.
