Prof. Dariusz Dudek among world’s most cited researchers

This year’s ranking list of most highly cited researchers by Clarivate Analytics includes six Polish scholars, among whom is Professor Dudek, Head of the II Clinic of Cardiology and Cardiovascular Interventions at the Jagiellonian University Hospital.

The ranking by Clarivate Analytics (formerly Thomson Reuters) is an annual list of most cited researchers from all over the world. This year’s edition includes names of 6 thousand scholars from 60 countries, specialising in 21 different fields of study. The list is based on the analysis of the number of citations, which is an important parameter showing how papers by specific researchers influence and inspire scholars from all over the world.

Besides Prof. Dariusz Dudek, the list also includes Prof. Jolanta Lissowska from the Maria Sklodowska-Curie Institute - Oncology Center in Warsaw, Prof. Andrzej Budaj from the Medical Post-Diploma Education Centre of the Grochowski Hospital in Warsaw, Prof. Piotr Ponikowski, President of the Polish Cardiac Society, Prof. Michał Tendera from the Silesian Medical University in Katowice, and Prof. Adam Torbicki from the Medical Post-Diploma Education Centre of the European Health Centre Otwock.

The inclusion of Polish researchers on this prestigious list is a sign of recognition for their research work and the international significance of their papers for various fields of study.

The ranking was performed with the world’s most popular research analytics platform using a web browser. The list plays a key role in one of the oldest and most prestigious rankings of world’s higher education institutions – the Academic Ranking of World’s Universities.
