JU visited by the Ambassador of Romania

On 21 May 2019 the Jagiellonian University hosted a visit by the Ambassador of Romania to Poland Ovidiu Dranga, who was accompanied by the Dean of the Faculty of Sociology and Psychology at the West University of Timișoara Mariana Crasovan. The delegation was received in Collegium Novum by the JU Vice-Rector for Educational Affairs Prof. Armen Edigarian. The visit was coordinated by the JU Rector’s Proxy for Innovation Dr hab. Andrzej Adamski.

The meeting participants discussed the prospects for the development of cooperation between the Jagiellonian University and Romanian higher education institutions, with special focus on the West University of Timișoara.

Ovidiu Dranga became Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the Republic of Poland in June 2013. During almost 30 years of diplomatic service, he has held a number of important positions, including the Deputy Head of the Mission of Romania to NATO, the State Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and the Ambassador to the Kingdom of Belgium. He is the author of numerous publications on international politics and security.
