On 13–14 June, Impact’18 – an event dedicated to technological trends in innovative trades and challenges in modern economy – will be held in Kraków. This year’s edition will concern topics such as Industry 4.0, Science to Business, Fintech, Biotechnology, 5G & Io, Digital State as well as Transportation, Energy and Environment. The meeting is organised under the honorary patronage of JU Rector Prof. Wojciech Nowak.

Impact’18 will bring together over 6,000 participants from 40 countries along with 250 distinguished guests, such as Prof. Rolf-Dieter Heuer, former director general of CERN and current president of the German Physical Society, and Prof. Reimund Neugebauer, president of the Fraunhofer Society.

Participation in Impact’18 is free for the academia and start-ups. Additionally, the organisers have planned a series of free activities aimed to promote the best research projects and start-up enterprises:

• 1:1 meetings with businesses and investors – Impact link (companies and institutions such as Mastercard, PKO Bank Polski, Grupa Azoty, ING Bank Śląski, T-Mobile, Blue M edia, SAP, IBM, Tauron, PGNiG, Huawei, Astra Zeneca, Roche, Polpharma, Grupa Adamed, Pfizer, selvita, PLL LOT, Maspex, and others)
• an exhibition of academic technologies – SciTech Poland
• presentations – Challenger Arena
