The programme includes the open lecture ‘From Chocolate to Morphine’, a presentation of Józef Mehoffer’s painting, a tour of JU Museum and a concert by Stanisław Soyka.
The event begins with the open lecture ‘From Chocolate to Morphine’ by Prof. Jerzy Silberring from the AGH University of Science and Technology in Kraków. The lecture in Polish will be simultaneously translated into English and into Polish sign language. The organisers have also prepared some surprises for the participants.
The lecture will be followed by a presentation of Józef Mehoffer’s Painting depicting Marshal Józef Piłsudski with an audio description by Róża Książek-Czerwińska and tactile graphics by Lech Kolasiński.
Then it will be possible to take a tour of JU Museum Collegium Maius with tactile adaptations of exhibits for the blind. Due to the international character of the event, tours in English will also be available. The registration form (in Polish) is available on the website www.DotknijKultury.pl.
As in previous years, the event will conclude with an evening concert. This year it will be performed by Stanisław Soyka and his band. The admission is free, but invitations are required. They can be obtained from the Jagiellonian University Disability Support Service: tel. +48 12 663 43 40, e-mail: firstname.lastname@example.org. The number of places is limited.
