JU MC Department of Philosophy and Bioethics invites you to attend an international conference entitled 'Death and Dying: Medical, Cultural and Environmental Perspectives', which will be hosted on 15-16 May 2020 at the Faculty of Medicine Conference Centre (ul. św. Łazarza 16).
The conference will cover the following topics:
- Medicine and the Palliative Care Unit (PCU) – Issues in Clinical Practice
- Legal and Ethical Aspects of Patient Autonomy
- Psycho-Oncology, Anthropology and Sociology of Death and Dying
- Cultural and Environmental Studies on Death and Dying
Several keynote speakers have already confirmed their participation in the conference: Bert Gordijn (Dublin City University), Stefan Grosek (University Medical Centre Ljubljana), Jeanette Bresson Ladegaard-Knox (University of Copenhagen), Anna Kubiak (Polish Academy of Sciences), and Daniel Sperling (University of Haifa).
