The construction of Life Science Park
The Life Science Park is a complex of fully equipped and furnished buildings with offices and laboratories to let to companies specialising in the field of life science. The official opening took place on 9 October 2014.
At the moment, over 30 companies (including 16 start-up companies) are function within the Life Science Park. Some of them are: Biomantis, which produces bandages and dressings for hard-to-heal wounds, Egzotech, which specialises in rehabilitation robotics, and Selvita SA, a biotechnology company which works on introducing new types of medicine.
The Life Science Park can be adapted to all kinds of infrastructure, which allows for research in the fields of biotechnology, biomedicine, biology, chemistry, pharmacology, physics, nanotechnology and environmental protection. It also includes other facilities, such as conference rooms and social rooms.
The Jagiellonian Center for Innovation has released a video documenting the construction of Life Science Park.
